3月18日（日）にグレースシティチャーチのVISION SUNDAYと信徒総会が行われました。
VISION SUNDAYとは、一年に一度、グレースシティチャーチのビジョンについて改めて確認する年に一度の特別礼拝です。礼拝の直後に信徒総会が始まり、2017年に各ミニストリー（働き）がどのように進んだかという報告がされました。
グレースシティチャーチのビジョンを再確認し、現状を見据えて、前年を振り返りつつ、各ミニストリーの担当者から報告を聞き、これからどう進んでいくかを考え、祈る時をもちました。
グレースシティ ビジョン とは？
「キリストの教会であるグレースシティは、東京に恵みの福音を満たすことによって神の栄光をあらわします。そのために個人的な人生の変革、コミュニティの回復、都市の刷新、社会的な必要のために仕えます。」
今年のVISION SUNDAYは、記念すべき一日であり、牧師の就任式と長老の就職式がありました。
福田真理先生が、牧師として就任し、長老2名（スティーブ・サックスさん、ジェームス・ライトさん）が就職し、グレースシティチャーチ東京は開拓8年目にしてやっと、独立した一教会として、新しい歩みがスタートしたのです。
皆さんもご存知の通り、都心における教会開拓は簡単ではありません。
独立した教会として新しい歩みをスタートしましたが、まだ成長中であり、完全に成熟しているわけではありません。新たなステージの第一歩を踏み出し、これからも都心における更なる必要のために、多くの教会を生み出していかなければなりません。
信徒総会の中では、2017年に各ミニストリーがどのように前進し、発展したかという多くの感謝の報告がありました。
現実的な課題は多々ありますが、働きが大きくなっていけば、必要が増えるのは、当然のこととも言えます。
神は私たち個人を通して、また教会の頭となって働き続けています。
私達ひとりひとりが聖書の御言葉によって日々生かされ、成長し、人生が新しくされる事によって、神の栄光が表れます。
主が私たちに触れて、変えてくださらなければ、都心における良い働きは、何ひとつ前進させることはできません。
信徒総会の中では、グレースシティチャーチが、人生の変革、コミュニティの回復、都市の刷新、社会の必要に応えるべく、様々な試みがされている報告がされました。
一番の課題とされたのが、経済的に自立していく必要があるということです。
これまでは、海外から捧げられた多くの献金によって、グレースシティは支えられてきました。昨年は幕屋プロジェクトによって、会場費が支えられましたが、今後も継続的に必要が満たされる必要があります。
今現在、グレースシティの毎週の必要は50万円です。年間3100万円の必要があります。
都心で礼拝を捧げるために必要な会場費が25万円、それに加えて都心における働きを進めていくために毎週25万円が必要とされています。
今現在、グレースシティ内で捧げられている献金は毎週25万円ほどですが、実際には毎週50万円の必要があるのです。
ぜひ、毎週50万円の必要が満たされるように、祈りに覚えてください。約束献金カードが配布されており、みなさんのご協力を呼びかけられています。

2017年にそれぞれの働きについての報告、また今後の課題が記載されています。
これから、どのように導かれて進んでいけるのかが楽しみです。新しい事を新しい方法で進めてくださる主に期待していきたいです。

It was Vision Sunday and our congregational meeting on 18th March 2018.
Vision Sunday is to remind us about Grace City’s Vision, to take a look back on the past year and pray about the way forward over the coming year.
People from each ministry shared their report of 2017 in the congregational meeting.
What is Grace City’s Vision?
As a church of Christ, Grace City glorifies God by filling Tokyo with the Gospel of grace, in order to see peoples’ lives changed, community formed, the city renewed, and society’s needs met.
We have many reports of people making efforts to pursue this vision through various activities.
Vision Sunday this year was a little different from previous years.
We had a ceremony to officially appoint Rev. Makoto Fukuda as Pastor, and elders Steve Sacks and James Wright.
This means that Grace City Church Tokyo has finally become an independent church after 8 years of church planting.
We are still in the process of growing and we are not yet an established church. It’s not that easy to plant an established church in the centre of Tokyo.
This is only the beginning in the new stage of becoming independent and we still need to continue growing towards maturity. We also need to plant new churches to fill the Gospel in central Tokyo and to meet the cities needs.
We have heard a lot of encouraging highlights which we are grateful about, but there are many challenges and things we need to overcome.
I suppose as the church grows in numbers, our needs expand as well.
God works through us as individuals and as the head of the church.
Individuals are touched, live and grow by the word of God, and it renews people’s lives by revealing God’s glory. We cannot pursue God’s work in the centre of Tokyo without ourselves changing through the breath of God.
The finance team shared with us that our financial situation is critical.
Although we need to move towards being independent, we are still depending on overseas donations.
Our worship venue fee was covered by project tabernacle last year, but we continuously fill this need every week.
Our weekly needs are 500,000JPY (250,000 JPY for worship venue and 250,000 JPY to continue each ministry in Tokyo.)
Annual needs are 31 million JPY.
We have been rasing 250,000 JPY weekly but we need another 250,000 JPY per week.
Please pray that our financial needs are filled this year. We have been distributing pledge cards since the congregational meeting.
