久しぶりのブログ更新となり、大変ご無沙汰しております。
グレースシティのファイナンスチーム（会計）より、報告があります。

2019年2月24日（日）の礼拝で、Heart & Treasure Report : 心と宝レポート（会計報告）がありました。教会が東京で社会に仕え続けて行くための重要なお話でもありますので、ぜひ最後まで読んで頂けましたら幸いです。

グレースシティチャーチ東京の教会のビジョンは、「福音を東京に満たす」です。福音とは、神が完全無料の贈り物として私達を救ってくださり、新しい命を与えるというよいニュースです。聖書には、私達に、「あなたがたはただで受けたのですから、ただで与えなさい 」と言われています。そのため、福音をただで与え、救いもただです。だから、福音は良いニュースなのです！

しかし、私たちにとっては、タダ（無料）ですが、現実はいつも他の誰かにとっては、高くついているのです。究極の例が、イエス様ご自身です。聖書によると、「主は富んでおられたのに、あなたがたのために貧しくなられました。それは、あなたがたが、キリストの貧しさによって富む者となるためです。」それに比べたら、私たちの犠牲の程度は、ずっと小さいけれど、東京で福音をでタダ（無料）で伝えるために、私達は日曜日にホールを借りたり、仕える人への給料や経費を支払う必要があります。私を含め教会のリーダー達は、経費をコントロールするためにベストをつくしています。

しかし、この後に報告しますが、私達の収入と支出の間には、大きなギャップがあります。
実際には、このギャップを埋めないと、数年で、教会を続けられなくなるほどです。

Grace City Church’s vision is “to saturate Tokyo with the gospel,” the good news that God saves us and gives us new life as a completely free gift. And the Bible tells us, “Freely you have received, freely give.”  This is why we proclaim the gospel without cost to you. Salvation is free: that is good news!

However, the reality is that what is free for us is often expensive to somebody else. The ultimate example isJesus himself, of whom the Bible tells us, “Though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.” Though our sacrifices are much smaller, in a similar way, in order to proclaim the gospel for free here in Tokyo, we need to rent a hall on Sundays, and pay the salaries of those who serve us, as well as other expenses.

The leaders of this church, of whom I am one, are doing our best to control our costs. However, as you will hear in a minute, there is still a big gap between what we spend and what we take in. In fact, if we don’t succeed at narrowing this gap, in a few years we will have to close our doors.

こちらは、2018年1月〜12月のレポートです。収入は¥2,640万円、経費は¥2,710万円となり、損益はマイナス¥660,039円となりました。簡単に言いますと、そこまでよくない状況です。

Here is the 2018 Jan – Dec Report. We have total revenue of 26.4 million yen and total expenses of 27.1 million yen, resulting in a net loss of  -660,039 yen. This is not good.

 

 

皆さんもご存知のように、昨年の10月より、2部礼拝から合同礼拝に変更して、礼拝会場コストの削減が出来ました。毎週5万円程、年間210万円程のコスト削減となります。

 

しかし、2019年はSALTインターン生二人がインターンとしての働きを終え、フルタイム、パートタイムとして教会に仕える予定です。ですので予算から給与を支払うことになりました。 来年のスタッフ給与は420万円増えます。 2020年には560万円程、増えることになります。

As you know, we have changed from 2 services to 1 service per week since October 2018, saving the church around 50,000 yen per week or 2.1 million yen per year.

However, next year we are expecting to pay staff salary out of our own budget due to changes in SALT. Next year’s staff salaries will increase by 4.2 million yen. In 2020, this expense will increase again, to around 5.6 million yen.

 

現金を見ると、2018年には250万の現金減少が発生しました。年始の時点では、残高が990万円がありましたが、期末現金残高には740万円になりました。このペースが続くと、グレースシティの現金は3年〜4年も持たないでしょう。

 

We had a cash burn of 2.5 million in 2018. We had 9.9 million yen at the start of the year, but at the end of the year, we have 7.4 million yen. If this pace continues, our cash balance will be gone in 3 to 4 years.
