わたしたちグレースシティ―はKDDIビルをはじめとしたオフィスビルの一角を借りて礼拝を行っています。幸いなことに人数が増えてきたことから、2016年の11月から2部礼拝を開始。それに伴い、礼拝会場費も年間300万円以上の増額となりました。
わたしたちの経済的必要を満たすために、アメリカ長老教会の世界宣教団体「Mission to the World（MTW）」が6万ドル（約660万円）のマッチングファンドに協力をしてくれることになりました。マッチングファンドとは、10月末までにグレースシティが2/3の4万ドル（約440万円）を集めることができれば、MTWが残りの1/3の2万ドル（220万円）を負担してくれるというものです。
ということで春ごろから「幕屋プロジェクト2017」と題して、教会に集う方々を中心に献金を呼びかけていました。そしてこの度、目標金額を達成することができました！それも大幅に。
目標献金額440万円のところ、¥5,791,620円（10月31日）という大幅に上回る献金をいただくことができました！MTWからのサポート額を含めると約8か月弱の会場費をまかなうことができます。ありがとうございました。
まさに神様は私たちの必要をご存じで、祈りに応えてくださるのだと実感します。まさに下記の御言葉通り。ハレルヤ！
また、私の神は、キリスト・イエスにあるご自身の栄光の富をもって、あなたがたの必要をすべて満たしてくださいます。― ピリピ4章19節
今後も教会に集う方々が増える事を願うと同時に、必要な費用も増えていきます。

At Grace City, we hold our weekly worship services in rented space in the KDDI Otemachi Building and other office buildings. We have been blessed with growing attendance, and in November 2016 we began holding two services each Sunday. This led to a corresponding increase in our rental fees of over ¥3,000,000 (over $30,000) per year.
In order to meet this financial need, Mission to the World, the missions arm of the Presbyterian Church in America, agreed to create a matching fund for a total of $60,000 (about ¥6,600,000): If Grace City could raise 2/3 of the amount ($40,000 or ¥4,400,000) by the end of October, then MTW would provide the remaining 1/3 ($20,000 or ¥2,220,000).
So, in the spring, we launched “Project Tabernacle 2017” and began asking for donations, primarily from the members of Grace City’s congregation. Today we’re happy to announce that we not only met, but significantly exceeded our goal!
Compared to our goal of ¥4,440,000, as of October 31 we had collected ¥5,791,620! Including MTW’s contribution, this is enough to completely pay our rental fees for almost eight months. To all who prayed and contributed, thank you!
We are once again reminded that God truly knows our needs and answers our prayers. As the Scripture says,
…my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:19
